Rainbow Valley Conservation Reserve is a protected area located south of Alice Springs, Northern Territory in Australia. Rainbow Valley is renowned for its sandstone bluffs and cliffs with bands of different coloured rock. These are most impressive in the soft light of the morning or afternoon around sunset. At these times the sandstone bands change from ochre red to orange and purple.
